OUR STORY
Sunshine River Farms was founded in 2021 by Eric and Silvi after they fell in love with the beauty and community of Whitefish, Montana. What began as a dream on a family trip soon took root as a shared mission—to cultivate a life centered around nature, nourishment, and connection.

Eric’s love for growing food started early, growing vegetables with and for his family in Southern California. What began as a hobby became a lifelong passion for sustainable farming and the belief that healthy soil grows healthy people. At Sunshine River Farms, he brings that
vision to life through regenerative agriculture practices that care for both the land and the community. Beyond the fields, Eric is actively involved in supporting food-related charities throughout the Flathead Valley, helping make fresh, local produce accessible to all.

Silvi brings a different but deeply complementary form of cultivation to the farm—one that nurtures the mind and spirit. With over a decade of experience teaching meditation and mindfulness and working as a counselor, she has woven her healing work into the rhythms of the
farm. Silvi also teaches mindfulness at FVCC and offers holistic coaching and equine-assisted learning experiences at Sunshine River Farms that help people reconnect with themselves and the natural world.

Together, Eric and Silvi are growing more than food—they are cultivating community, resilience, and a mindful way of living in harmony with the land. Sunshine River Farms is a place where healthy food, personal growth, and a love of nature come together to create something truly nourishing.

MEET OUR FARM MANAGER
Dane Regan
With roots in farming that began in 2011, Dane brings over a decade of diverse, hands-on experience to Sunshine River Farm. After earning a degree from the University of Montana, he spent two seasons farming at Two Bear Farm before traveling internationally to work on small-scale farms in New Zealand. His journey also included a formative year at the renowned French Laundry Culinary Garden, where his appreciation for high-quality, thoughtfully grown food deepened. In 2019, he returned to the Flathead Valley to serve as Farm Manager at Flathead Valley Community College, where for seven seasons he grew vegetables for CSA and market, taught both credit and non-credit courses, and cultivated a strong passion for food education and community engagement. In 2021, he met Eric and Silvi and began helping bring their vision of a thriving, working vegetable farm to life. A devoted husband and father who has a passion for cooking, he is driven by a love of real food and a commitment to strengthening local food systems.
